Niblick A name as old as golf.

1860

Niblick footwear company commenced business in London

1884

Niblick moves to Australia building a factory in Canterbury in Melbourne producing rubbing soled golf shoes

Early 1900's

The company flourished employing over 300 operators at it's peak

1965

Niblick starts producing spiked golf shoes

1966

Taken over by Cherub Shoes – another established shoe manufacturer, Niblick produces 35,000 pairs of shoes

1970

A big push into the expanding golf market. A new range of ladies and men's golf shoes are produced under the 'Arnold Palmer' brand

Sales top 40,000 pairs for the year.

1976/77

As the strength of Niblick grew, the Arnold Palmer brand was discontinued

Niblick sold 110,000 pairs of golf shoes

A young QLD golfer named Greg Norman is sponsored to wear Niblick starting a 20 year association with the brand

1986

With the success of golf in Australia and Greg Norman, Niblick is now producing over 200,000 pairs of golf shoes for Australia and markets all over the world.

2010

The Niblick brand is bought by Australian company Sporte Leisure after many years under Pacific Brands.
